"He was from Norwegia!"

Hola!
A bluebird view from the top of Main Street

The past few days have provided some pretty great experiences for the MMSC J3 crew on Main St. as well as the other trails at Stowe. With relatively warm temperatures and a skin-friendly balance between clear skies and slight cloud coverage, athletes enjoyed the ability to train on a superb surface- so great in fact, that coaches from older groups could be seen swooping around the training venues this afternoon demonstrating some very passionate freeskiing. After two days of GS, we have now moved into a block of Slalom training. It has been very exciting to see how everyone has stepped up their game as we approach our first weekend of State competition!
Athletes enjoying a ride with their coach

Today we did a short dryland (ask the athletes about countdowns and the "ab ripper") workout after training on the opposite side of the trail from the UVM men's and women's alpine teams. One of our athletes had the opportunity to ride up the chair with Norwegian racing stud, Jonathon Nordbotten and promptly provided coaches with the title of this post.
No love for Sando

We will continue to train Slalom tomorrow afternoon on Main Street in preparation for the state meet this weekend. I hope to see you out on the mountain!

Until Next Time!
